Sandra had this to say about the market and other ongoing efforts:
"Somehow I managed to get the Sunday Market going, we had the first one the day after Christmas and it was fabulous. I was so proud of the women and children, they did their very best and it was impressive. We had a good crowd of people and sales were great! Everyone one of them had sales and the children sold out of their hand painted cards.
Also, I wanted to mention that we got a loan for 7 sewing machines and had a special ceremony to give them out. The women have to pay back the cost ($75) and promise to bring one woman in during the year, and the $75 can get her started on material for her product. Oh my, the women are excited, they love their new sewing machines!"
Please help spread the word about the market!
